SANTA ROSA, Calif., March 31, 2020 – Thermal Technology continues to expand its product line in both smaller SPS/DCS equipment offerings as well as breaking new records with the largest DCS product offering to date.
TT has expanded its small laboratory SPS/DCS equipment line now with a 5-Ton Micro-Mobile SPS/DCS Pressing System. The 5-ton Press capability is controlled in much the same way as its larger counterparts are but differs in that the force is Electric Screw Drive vs Electro-Hydraulic as it is on all of our larger pressing systems. The Micro Spark Plasma Sintering/Direct Current Sintering can accommodate specimens up to 12mm and reach temperatures of up to 2300°C.
Thermal Technology has yet to hit its limitation when it comes to designing the largest, most accurately controlled DSC systems. Within a year Thermal Technology, has taken what was already a phenomenal feat of expanding its large DCS product line from 500-ton to 800-ton. The SST process chamber boasts an inside work area of 4-Feet Wide by 4-Feet Deep by 5-Feet High and can reach an astounding temperature of 2500°C.
