SANTA ROSA, Calif., July 25, 2011 — Thermal Technology recently added a new production facility, tripling their manufacturing space. They are a leading manufacturer of crystal growth equipment and high temperature furnace systems. The new location will house Model K1 sapphire crystal grower production and neighbors Thermal Technology’s sales and manufacturing site in Santa Rosa, CA.

“Market response to the K1 grower is strong. Potential customers see our machines in full production elsewhere. As a result, they are convinced of our technology,” says Matt Mede, Thermal Technology president and CEO. “Utilizing the modified-Kyropoulos method, our growers remain the most productive tool in the market with large crystal size and a short growth cycle. We also have the most growers in successful production, compared to our competitors.”

Thermal Technology is shipping multiple sapphire growers weekly. The new high-volume production facility enables Thermal Technology to meet their customers’ rising demand for the Model K1.

“The new manufacturing facility significantly increases our production capacity and improves the overall flow of our production processes. Continued growth in our Model K1 sales fueled the need for expansion,” says Jim Coffey, Thermal Technology’s production manager.

Thermal Technology is a global manufacturer of advanced thermal processing systems. Their product line includes crystal growth technology, hot presses and SPS systems, and high temperature vacuum and controlled atmosphere laboratory and production furnaces for the advanced processing of metals, ceramics, glass, quartz and crystal growing applications. They have over 60 years of experience and more than 3000 installations in 40 countries.
